Social Media Managers and Campus Photojournalists
You will manage the social media content as well as report and photograph various school's events. You are responsible for weekly social media posts and create concise stories for AHS media platforms.
The Social Media Manager is responsible for overseeing AHS media interactions with the public by implementing and plan digital campaigns to build our community online.

Go to games and events to photograph/video events for posts to social media.

Podcast Team
Be apart of a team that will record and upload podcasts to youtube about school life, sports, gaming, and other topics.
Students will also work with other school groups to inform students on various topics needing to be addressed in the school community.

Graphic Design Team
Create print media for the school, update the website, and create banners and posters for the school campus. Banners on campus, school maps and posters, T shirts and other printed and digital layouts needed.

The Greyhound media Graphic designers team create visuals to communicate ideas that inspire, inform, or captivate AHS community.

Develop the overall layout and production design for advertisements, brochures, magazines, and more. Graphic Designers design (or create) graphics to meet specific commercial or promotional needs, such as packaging, displays, logos, or imagery for print and digital uses including banner ads, social media posts, website graphics, and more. .

Transform statistical data into visual graphics and diagrams, often creating infographics, which can make complex ideas more accessible to our community.

Animation Team
Be a part of a team that will make illustrations come to life and tell meaningful stories through the use of animation.

Recommend the best approaches to integrate 3-D components into final commercial quality products

Create high-quality animations by utilizing both hand key animation and motion capture data

Give and receive constructive, creative feedback across teams

Collaborate with other animators, clients, and producers

Create prototypes and mock-ups of new types of products

Brainstorm and conceptualize ideas, with the ability to produce concept sketches and quick concept edits

Comprehend and execute direction from the lead animator or animation supervisor
Directors, Cinimatographers Video Production and Editing
Work in a team to make your stories come to life in a live-action film.
Capture videos of sports, school events, school programs, school informationals. and edit them together to create dynamic videos.

Filming video on set and on location

Working with creative teams and clients to plan video shoots

Setting up and taking down cameras, microphones, lighting, props and other equipment

Editing footage after recording

Adding computer graphics, closed captioning and special effects to footage

Preparing “B” rolls

Videographers record events and edit footage while working independently or with a small crew.

Corporate Videographers are generally focused on making content that promotes our school community, products or services.
Yearook Editor
Oversees theme and design development of the overall book. Drives the storytelling vision of the book.

Makes decisions with the advisor, business manager, and yearbook company representative

Manages staff assignments and deadlines. Gives final approval on layouts before submission

Creates the style guide for the book, including fonts, colors, other design elements, and spread templates
-
Organizes the structure and content of the book, managing the ladder and deadlines
-
Trains the staff to design layouts, interview, edit/proofread, and take photos
-
Dedicates time to review and fine-tune each spread before printing
-
Works with adviser to select the staff and helps assign roles best suited to staffers’ skills
-
Designs theme and specialty spreads (cover, endsheet, title pages, opening, closing, and dividers) in the book
-
Leads the class by starting class, checking in with individuals, creating other activities, and demonstrating the qualities of a productive staffer in their own work
-
Opportunity to attend conventions and workshops outside of school to develop reporting, design, and leadership skills

Yearbook Photographer and Layout Designer

Takes photos and create layouts that will go in the yearbook

Manages the calendar of all events happening on campus and in the community

We need writers and editors and layout designers to create content for our online magazine.
A journalist is an individual that collects/gathers information in form of text, audio, or pictures, processes them into a news-worthy form, and disseminates it to the public. The act or process mainly done by the journalist is called journalism.
A designer of layouts will produce a host of ideas, select the best ones and selling them to the other members of the team and to clients. Encouraging others to share their ideas and nurturing creativity. Communicating productively with management and clients to keep them up-to-date with project milestones.
Typical responsibilities of the job include:
